The Pink House, 2021 from Hidden Homes

The Pink House, 2021 from Hidden Homes

For the past five months, I've been participating in the Foley Gallery's Exhibition Lab.

The Exhibition Lab was co-founded by Michael Foley in 2010. Photographers participating in the Ex Lab meet over five months, holding critique sessions with one another and one-on-one sessions with Michael Foley.

I've been working on my Hidden Homes series, and am now exhibiting six of the photographs from this new series. The photographs, including The Pink House shown here, will be showcased in the Exhibition Lab exhibition—a group show alongside seventeen other artists.

If you're in New York, please join me at the opening reception (in-person), on July 8th, 5:00pm–8:00pm.

Exhibition Dates: July 8 – 29, 2021.
Visit the Foley Gallery website for more information.

Two photographs have been selected by Paula Tognarelli (Executive Director/Curator, Griffin Museum of Photography) for the exhibition Black, White & More. The exhibition will be on view at the South East Center for Photography (Greenville, South Carolina), March 6-28, 2020.

Yabba-Dabba-Doo #1 (top left) is part of a series entitled, RoadtripI photographed the Roadtrip series in 2019, while traveling around the southern rim of The Grand Canyon, and the desert-and surrounding Sedona, Arizona. Yabba-Dabba-Doo #1 was photographed at an abandoned amusement park on Hwy #64, the long road leading to the Grand Canyon.

Shadows in Red Hook (bottom left) is particularly meaningful to me as it was one of the first images that I had photographed during my  two-year+ photographic journey in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

More information about the exhibition can be found on the South East Museum of Photography website.

Exhibition, PhotoPlace Gallery by Lisa A. Cutler

White Dress © Lisa Cutler

My photograph White Dress, was selected for the exhibition The Poetry of the Ordinary by juror Sara Sudhoff.

The translucent image of a girls white party dress, hangs on a clothes line in the high heat of the day while the sun casts harsh shadows mimicking the flounces of the dress and the tiled roof. This image was taken on a country road outside of Medillin, Colombia during the winter of 2019.

The exhibition at the PhotoPlace Gallery, Middlebury, Vermont, is on view March 5–28, 2020.
